I have a 5 screen setup for a racing simulator, and I have a question regarding Windows taskbar.

I have attaches a picture of my screen setup.

My question is regarding the 3 screen in the center of the setup, those are setup using Nvidia surround.

What I would like to do is having the taskbar for those screens only to be showed on the top of the center monitor, I used to be able to do that, but Windows sometimes reset it. (was due to the synchronization of my pc's that I didn't know about, but is turned off now).

If you enable the "Taskbar" checkbox in the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window, it should constrain the Windows tasbkar to the middle split. You can then right-click each DisplayFusion taskbar on the other splits and choose Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Position > Disabled.

Hope that helps!

It did not, and now I have lost the taskbar on my top and lower monitor..

Edit.

Found out how to get my taskbars back.

What happened to the Windows taskbar on the middle screen when you enabled the Taskbar checkbox? When I test it here it works correctly, just curious if something else is going wrong on your machine.

Thanks!

I get a message from DF to turn off the Windows taskbar, and I did, then I lost the taskbar on the top and bottom monitor, but still had a taskbar on the 3 center display, but I could only move to the side, top or bottom of the monitor, but not to only the middle monitor.
I tried some of the settings from the dropdown menu in DF, but none of them did what I would like, and I didn't really get the meaning of what then meant. ;)

Ah ok, I see! Could you try the same steps again and then send me a copy of the troubleshooting info?

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab

It's ok Keith, I'll live with it, like it is, as I have bigger problems with Windows not remembering my monitor setup, and as long as I have that, I have a feeling that I will then have both things, to setup every time I turn on my pc.

The problem with Windows monitor settings is that 3 times out of 4 it can't remember how my monitors was setup, so I have to go into the screen-setup in Windows, and select the top monitor, and scroll down and set it to “expand desktop to this screen” <- (not sure if this is the right words, as I'm on a Danish version), then save, and after that reposition my top and bottom screen, and save.
It's a pain in the a**, but if I roll my Windows version back from 1809 to 1804 everything is working, so it's definitely Windows related, and I have found others online with the same problem, but no answer/ solution.

I just thought it was gone, when I asked her in the forum, as I have had no problems in the latest couple of boot up’s, so I wanted to ask how I got the taskbar to work as I wanted, but the last 3 boots have had the same problem again.

I'm back again. :)

I have replaced my 3 x 1080p monitors with 3 x 1440p monitors, but for some reason I can't have different pictures on each monitor when I use Nvidia Surround, like I have done for years with my old monitors. (As you can see in the pictures I attached earlier in this thread).

For now I have disabled (as in removed the cables from the pc) to the top 1080p (this monitor was attached to the Intel onboard GFX) and the bottom 5" monitor, (that was on the HDMI output on my RTX 2080 GFX) just to make sure I could make the 3 screen surround work, but I still can't set separate pictures.

I set the pictures before I made the surround, but I can't now after I enabled the surround.

Is there anything I'm missing?

Another thing is that after I disabled the other 2 monitors, I can't see the boot screen anymore, how do I get that back?
